A visit and tasting at Island Winery. We each tasted six wines for $8. This is a good value and great way to try different varieties, like their specialty wines: Peach on the Beach, made from Carolina Peaches and crisp white wine; Southern Passion, a blend of local white & red grapes with Carolina peaches and Florida oranges makes for a spicy fruity blush wine. Similar to a Sangria. Both of these were tasty and I think a nice variety for summer.
The winery tasting room is off of the main drag. It is suggested to bring snacks or a picnic lunch, have a tasting, and spend some time. A patio with tables and umbrellas is a nice place to spend an afternoon.
These were my picks to buy because they will be great made into spritzers for hot summer weather.
