The snow melt is happening now, and the mud is forming. This mud, and melting continues into and through April.
March is typically the ugliest month in New Hampshire, with April in second place. That is my opinion, and I'm sure many would agree. It is the time to wait for warm weather, thawed and dry ground, and new plant growth to emerge.
So the countdown for departure to a warm, sunny, and sandy location begins. Modifications to our mobile condo are in the works. I'll share and update soon.
My snowbird friends are smart to miss this commencement into mud season. I think we're ready to be snowbirds from March till the first week of May. Maybe next year I can convince Whiskey to depart NH in mid-March.
I'm off to dig out my muck boots now.
